Small Groups: change lives

Small groups at Crossroads exist to provide places for the truth of Scripture to intersect with the real life of people.

It is at this intersection that the power of community moves us deeper and deeper in to the kind of life that God deisre for us...
lives that are full, rich, and vibrant, lives that transform the world around us with God's love.

Different people need different kinds of groups. Crossroads is regularly providing...

Discovery Groups that are focused on growing in an issue that is common to all the group’s members. These groups usually read through and discuss a book or a curriculum together and last between 8 and 12 weeks.

Serving Groups that are for people who want a more active type of community experience. Volunteering in Guest Services or Hospitality is all organized in groups. These groups serve together one out of every three weekends and regularly meet together socially outside of their serving.

Life Groups that are for people who are committed to building lasting relationships. These groups commit to meeting together for 7 to 12 months. They may do a book together or a less formal curriculum. They are designed to meet in member’s homes and connect people of all life stages and situations. First and foremost these groups are about getting to know others and being known.

New groups are opened once every season. In an effort to create a positive group experience, many groups are limited to 8 to 12 participants and are not available for participants to join in the middle of a curriculum. However, there are Unlimited groups that are always open to anyone that is looking for a place to connect and grow.

This season’s open groups are:

Prayer Team. This team will gather every week on Wednesday at 6:30 at the church for the purpose of praying through the requests that come into the church through the Cross Connect cards at the weekend services.

Serving Groups. If you are wanting to be part of one of the communities that fills the volunteer needs on a Sunday or Saturday, than sign up to become a part of one of the three groups currently serving the weekend services. Commitment is to the Saturday or both Sunday services, once every three weeks.

Dust of the Rabbi. This educational DVD based curriculum will explore scripture through the eyes of a historian and Bible scholar. Wednesday nights 6:30 to 8:15 Child Care Available.

Enterlude. This is an open discussion group to explore the Weekend Service teachings at a deeper and more personal level. Wednesday nights 6:30 to 8:15 Child Care Available.
